I so wanted to like this book. It's so well rated, a bestseller, a modern day "In Cold Blood" apparently. Instead, I found it so incredibly average and the only reason I continued to read it was because I knew they caught the guy and I wanted to read about that at the end. Unfortunately, even that couldn't provide any relief as at the end of the book I still feel like I know nothing about him or his motives, how the police caught him, how he got away with it for so many years and now I'm going to have to google to find these things out at the end of a 350 page book about it ???
I can't help but think the only reason this book is popular is because it's the only one about the GSK and Michelle McNamara died tragically young. Beyond that, it's a massive waste of time. Save yourself the trouble and google the info instead.
