This is the second book in the trilogy and I quite liked it, definitely better than the first one. The idea that magic system works using pain or memory is fantastic.
Plot is okay so far The pace of the story does leave a bit more to be desired, though given that it is the author's only second book I guess we can let it go.
Eagerly waiting for the third and final book.
