Going the Distance
by Beth Reekles
Going The Distance takes place in Elle’s senior of high school and she is still dating Noah, who is a freshman at Harvard. They are dating long distance. When a new boy moves into the area, Elle starts becoming friends with him. Will she start having feelings? Then, at Harvard, Noah is hanging out a lot with a gorgeous girl. Could he be cheating on Elle?
I picked up Going the Distance today and binged it. I couldn’t get enough of it. I finished it within a few hours. That’s how good it is. First of all the plot is different than the movie. In the movie we have Marco as the other love interest, but in the book the other love interest is named Levi. Levi has a lot of backstory, which I love and is a part of their group. In the movie they are competing in a dance competition so Elle can win the money for college. That doesn’t even happen in this book. Elle is focused on her friendships, school, and her future and of course Noah. I thought this was super cute and a fun read. I wish there would be another book to tell us where Elle ends up.
