Maddy's Floor by Dale Mayer
4.0

Book Three in the Psychic Visions series introduces Doctor Maddy, and her special floor in the long-term care facility. Dr Maddy is a medical intuitive, able to see people's aura's and their health as lines and colors. Her floor is reserved for a few select people who meet her strict requirements - and it is amazing. People live long past what is expected, and terminal patients have even gone home. But when an unusual death strikes her floor, Maddy knows that something is wrong.

Dr Maddy was a little too amazing, almost too good to believe. That was my one problem with the entire story. Detective Drew McNeil was a much better character and he really saved the book for me. Him and the entire storyline. This was one of those books that was impossible to put down (just ask my clock that read 3am when I finished). With some interesting medical cases and twists, the book was very different than the first two in the series. And while I sort of figured out the who-done-it part way through, it wasn't until the very end that it all really linked together.

Now this is a romance, although it is a lighter one. Dr Maddy and Detective McNeil hit it off from the get go, but both are hesitant to get too involved - so leave it to the recurring character of Stephen to put them on the right track. Another sweet and long lasting romance, which is just another reason to love these books.

My biggest disappointment was finding out that book 4 isn't out there yet.
