For a book titled Elektra there was not enough of her perspective in it. Also the way she was characterized was a bit too naive, too one dimensional. Her obsession with her father just wasn't explained well enough and the somewhat abrupt hate disdain for her mother likewise wasn't plausible for me.

However, the book in general was interesting enough. To read the story of the great Trojan War and its aftermath from 3 very different but not too different women was good.

All of the famous men and heroes of the myths are portrayed as egoistic, arrogant, fragile in their masculinity, petty and cruel. Even Orestes and Georgios don't come across as very... positive.
