Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch
by Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman
This collaboration between Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett is hilarious. The scenes are full of witty dialogue, hilarious footnotes, and thought provoking concepts. This is a dense book full of double meanings and word plays. The authors allowed me to think about how the rapture could go down, and in a manner that is not the traditional point of view. They get the reader to think about how good is not always to white, nor is evil so black. Sometimes good and evil are more grey.
This story about how one mistake can change the course of the world forever was very clever. I enjoyed reading this story, but did have a hard time accessing the footnotes in the kindle version. It took me until about third of the way through the book before I was able to figure out how to access them. If you plan to read this book, I would highly recommend reading a paper or hardback version.
