dana_reads_travels 's review for:
One Day in December
by Josie Silver
This book was fantastic! I won this in a bookstagram giveaway!
Laurie is on a bus and sees a man through the window. A year later, her best friend Sarah introduces Laurie to her new boyfriend Jack. Jack just happens to be bus boy. Keeping their feelings to themselves, we are then taken on a decade long journey of these three friends and lovers, through the ups, downs, etc.
What I loved: EVERYTHING. I at first had this rated four stars, but the more I think about it, the more I love this book. The relationships in this book are extremely well written. The pain. The happiness. The love. All of it is there for you to follow along with. Some reviews have called Jack a jerk, but I don't think so. I think he is in this turbine of emotion as well and who would know how to handle everything happening. Sarah and Laurie's relationship was one that I loved. It was deep and real. As a reader, I was not looking forward to everything being revealed.
What I did not love: Nothing. I am here for all this book offers.
