I love the witches and spell casting in this book. It is not often that I am given the opportunity to read about characters who are non-binary, bi, femme, and queer who are witches. This story follows a group of young witches who are known as the grays. One of their members goes missing and in order to retrieve her, they need to cast a spell to invite another witch into their coven. Through trial and error they try to welcome her into her coven and others in this town tried to persuade the newcomer to not hang out with the grays. I am a sucker for a good group name so I was here for the grays. I had a lot of visual moments while reading. Although the woods were dangerous. the trees were beautiful in my imagination.
