It by Stephen King

I give this book 5/5 stars.

oh wait a second, let me correct myself. I gave this book 2327483746/5 stars. now that's more like it. To say that i love this book is an understatement.

It is a book about clown. Scary clown.
But it’s not just a scary book, it’s also a book about friendship.
What I love about Stephen King is that he can write about a topic that isn’t actually scary but he can make it scary. I used to relate clowns with happiness, kids birthday, and kooky tricks. Before I read this book i was aware that not all people like clowns. Most of my friends were afraid of them, in fact. But i wasn’t. And then i read this book. And I saw the movie. I’m not a brave person. You do the math.

All scariness aside, what I love about SK’s books is the characters. The way they have their flaws and fears and the way they talk, it just feels real to me which makes it a thousand times scarier. And don’t even get me started on the friendship in this book. I’m really into this losers club, I just feel like it’s the type of thing that i’d be getting into in real life, like I’d be friends with all these dorky kids instead of being friends with the mean kids. I guess i can relate to their life and their friendship and it reminds me a lot of my childhood and my own childhood gang and it makes me feel really nostalgic. What I really love is the also the fact that SK can make a very realistic children narrator and the children voice doesn’t feel faked to me.

When I finished reading it I was really sad, it was like i was a part of the losers club and i had to say goodbye to all my friends. I actually cried in the end.
