I loved this book so much. It contained equal amounts of whimsy as it was harsh through the lens of nature. Oliver writes from a liminal position, blurring the line between gods and mortals, animals and humans. To me, her writing called for a greater appreciation for nature and simplicity, and her writing makes me feel grounded and present.
