same as when i read this for the first time it's an enjoyable, fast-paced read that despite it all didn't fully grab me. The worldbuilding is interesting but the characters aren't allowed to breathe as much as i'd like them to. The set ups pay off nicely and baring the final twist rather predictably. In my opinion it's also weighed down by the extensive use of slang, which makes ever character sound the same and there is also repetition of other phrases in the writing, which makes you roll your eyes after a few times.
I'll try and finish this series nevertheless because the ending was intriguing enough to keep going.
