There's crumbs of really good stuff here but they're just crumbs. The name of that crumb is Daniel & his relationship with his dad bc that shit was soo good. The rest of the characters? Boring, & their voices were wayy too similar to each other to the point where at the beginning I'd be flipping back to see who's chapter it was. The heists? SO horribly planned and not thrilling or heisty. How are you gonna market your book as a HEIST NOVEL and then the heists are "we will run in, break the glass, get our stuff, and run out." like bro PLEASE?? and finally the writing? so repetitive. if i have to read another "it went like this: [a character's adjectivey noun], [a plural noun], [a different noun and maybe another adjective to come with it]" i'm gonna explode. I'm just so disappointed bc I preordered this too :(
