When We Were Orphans
by Kazuo Ishiguro
I read this book going by the info on the back. I assumed it was a detective. Then his childhood came into play but that lead him to becoming a detective so that was fine. But overall he gets side tracked so often, has a bit of a delusional view of what he will find, then there is a bit of a side line with love that distracts more, and the orphan that is another side thing.
The book had too many distractions for me. I prefer detectives that are focused and become the hero at the end of the day. Not at the end of forever in this case.
