I love Tessa Bailey but this was a big miss for me. It's a novella, so I kept my expectations as such, since I know that there is only so much story that an author can tell in such a small amount of pages and words. However, I think this had potential but it definitely fell flat and was not great. It just wasn't believable and I did not feel any chemistry between them. It's cringe AND even though Tessa Bailey was once considered the queen of dirty talk, I thought it was so bad in this novella. Like, really bad. I was so embarrassed FOR the characters. The author has really been losing her appeal and I'm not sure I want to read more from her going forward.
