Ultimate Spider-Man Vol. 8: Cats & Kings
by Brian Michael Bendis
Spider-man gets to deal with Kingpin once again...and also a lot of issues with MJ and her piece of shit father.
You get to see Peter losing his cool here as Kingpin is getting off Scott free for KILLING SOMEONE ON CAMERA. This happens more often than anyone would like to admit in the good old USA, and Peter ask the questions no one wants to answer. Why? WHY IS HE FREE? He KILLED someone ON camera!!! On top of that now he has to deal with Black Cat and Electra. You thought he had girl problems before, you just wait!
Overall, super fun and important for Peter to see him grow. I love character development and they do it so well here. Peter and MJ relationship also grows as MJ has to deal with her asshole of a father. Also Aunt May has an AMAZING scene here. Really Bendis does write the best family dynamic for Peter hands down.
A 4 out of 5.
