The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake
by Aimee Bender
This book was alright - the beginning was very interesting, but I felt like the ending petered out a bit and wandered. Then, all of a sudden the plot with her brother amped up, but wasn't fully explained enough for me. I would have enjoyed to have that relationship explained a little bit more, and a bit of closure on the part of Rose - even like a flashforward at the end to glimpse how she came to terms with her "gift" and her family dynamics.
