The book was interesting, the whole case was really interesting. What I don't understand is the ending. Throughout the book, we see Chris being blindly in love with Janie, refusing to see she needs professional help. Even after Janie kills her wife's sister he goes to visit her ????????????? Like man might as well just marry her no? But then at the end with Piper, we see Janie killed her mom, she had problems from the start yet we don't get to see Chris's reaction to this. We don't get to see him realize how much he messed up ... Makes zero sense, would be 1 more chapter to tie this book together but nop ...
