I think the second book in the series murder was more humorous than anything else. The man who was dead like calling the love interest names and some of the names I laughed at and some I was "why, say that." There was also some notions about queer folks in this book that I didn't now necessary like. I also like that when things I did not like was said, it was said and the topic changed. Sometimes when I read authors who include othering in the text, I think they go in depth in the othering and it stops me from reading.
I think that the part of one of ghost striving to still be with their family even after death was one of the most beautiful parts of the book.
The southern sayings in this had me laughing. Although the lack of diversity and other word choices I did not necessary like. I did like the coziness of this mystery and plan to continue the series.
