Malice by Coralee June

*Edit - I just saw book two is release in Oct. I loved this so much, I pre-ordered it.

I've read a lot of dark romances over the last couple of months. A lot of them have been really good, some great. But Malice is heads and shoulders above them all.
It has your typical mafia romance aspects, some violence and emotionally damaged characters, but it dives in deeper, it pushes the characters so much harder. And all in a more realistic way than some others..

Our MC, Juliet, is a great character, she is a little broken and has a lot going on, so when she gets sucked into the vortex of these three brothers, she doesn't just take it. She fights back, she chooses herself, she refuses to fall victim to this dark world she has found herself in. And while there she realises that maybe she should accept the darkness in herself. That maybe that little bit of darkness isn't a bad thing.

And the brothers. Wow, they are something. Each has their own role to play, each has their own darkness to either fight or embrace. And while fighting to consume Juliet, they just might find some peace.

Malice packs an emotional punch. It's twisted, dark, romantic and touches on some really heavy themes. Juliet's mother went missing and she was raised by her grams, who is now sick with Parkinson's. She struggles with anxiety, connecting with people and has quite the interest in death, crime scenes and knows all the good ways to dispose of a body.
Each of the males helped either heal part of her or help her become a better version of herself.

I loved this book from beginning to end. 10/10 would recommend.
