This is such a hard book for me to rate.
At times this was an achingly beautiful fantasy. It pulled at my emotions, and at one point I was sobbing (I've cried at maybe 4 books in the last 10 years).
But at times it was a poorly done love triangle, with a main character who was frustrating in ways that went beyond her personality profile.
Personally I think she picked the right person, but the last plot at the end felt too magic wand.
