halopink 's review for:
Fifty-Fifty
by Steve Cavanagh
I received an eARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Two sisters on trial for their father’s murder both saying the other did it.
What started off as a slow read quickly picked up in the second half of the novel. Alternating lawyer perspectives with the killer led for an interesting novel full of misdirection.
The introduction of the female lawyer, Kate, provides an interesting subplot, tackling sexism and harassment in the legal world.
While I have read other books in the series, I do not think reading any previous books are necessary to understand this one.
