I’ve been curious about this book for awhile and didn’t realize how short it was until recently so I finally decided to pick it up and I really enjoyed it!! I always struggle with classics because I always feel like I’m not smart enough to understand what the story is trying to say and while I might not have fully understood this one either, I had a fun time reading it! I love that this is one of the first vampire stories and it’s unmistakably sapphic and it was written in the 1800s! I also loved getting to see how so many other famous vampires were inspired by Carmilla. Just a very short, atmospheric read that’s perfect for spooky season!
