A perfect October read. Cas is a teenage ghost killer, moving around the country with his mom hunting down violent spirits and killing them so that they can't hurt any more people. But his real goal is avenging his father's death at the hands of a ghost - a feat that is looking harder by the minute as he finds himself up against a ghost he has no idea how to beat.

It's gory and exciting and definitely unusual -- I've never read a story with such visceral ghosts. I love that it's not a typical "parents are ruining my life I have to go save the world" story. Definitely recommend for a spooky mood.
