Oh my word I loved this book! Hunter is 100% a new book-boyfriend: quietly hilarious, caring dad, rescuer of disabled animals and rehabber of injured wild ones (freaking adorable racoon moments anyone), hard worker, and good looking. Phew! I also enjoy second chance romances because they're like a slow burn with a jump start due to the history and so rarely have a 3rd act crisis or breakup. Also, Merritt finding her true self again was great.
