I enjoyed that this book was about witches. Instant read for me. I felt that it was a little bit underwhelming for me. The author repeated “I can’t let him/her/they get hurt by my magic.” It was stated so often that I became run down by it. Apart of the story… and it is clear that the MC is not getting close to people because of her powers. I didn’t think stating that more than 10 times was necessary. 

The witches being ruled by the seasons was the BEST part of the book. I’m interested in book 2.
