A very short, strange little picture book about a literary family plagued by mice who love to eat long, fancy words out of letters, newspapers and dictionaries around the house. The father banishes the mice, to the sorrow of his children, but the mother saves the day by bringing home a now nearly unused but at the time modern invention to allow the mice to co-habitat peacefully with the family. Slight and sweet.
