The Hate U Give is the best book I've read this year - I know it's only March. Angie Thomas paints a realistic picture of rhe complicated life of the main character, Starr. The story is mecessarily complex. The characters are deep. The themes are timely. The Hate U Give should be required reading for high school students everywhere.
