i really wanted to enjoy this book (actually dnf'ed it before bc i thought i just picked it up at the wrong time) but it's putting me in the worst reading slump so i think it's just not for me. i'm so upset bc it comes so highly rated by some of my fav authors (like sally rooney & ali smith) and i want to read more palestinian fiction but the writing style just bores me to tears and i feel so disconnected from all of the characters :')
