I did not like this book as much as I thought I would. The story itself was a good one, however it's told by the means of journal entries, school essays, e-mails and letters. For some, this might not be a bad thing, but for me personally, it made it difficult to engage with the meat of the story. That being said, I understand that the main character's writing was a big part of the story and that was the reason for this style of writing. It just simply wasn't for me. When all was said and done, I did enjoy the story and the lessons learned throughout. It's very important to make sure our young generation knows that they should feel comfortable in their own skin and that everyone comes in different packages.
