Frank Heffley actually thinks he can get his son to toughen up, and he enlists Greg in organized sports and other "manly” endeavors. This was quite amusing in general because you get to experience the awkward 'Dad' ways while not having to go through the embarrassment. Although these books don't entertain me like a book should, when I first read them I enjoyed them very much so.
