I love this series, but this could have been between 250-300 pages and did the same thing. If the connections in the book made were not necessary, I would tell people to skip it. But you cannot. But you can skim at times. Because you will honestly need to, so you don't just put the book aside completey. Chaol has fallen from my like list hard.
