It’s nice to get a snapshot of mars. Bobby is one of my favourite characters too, but she isn’t the main focus. Instead, a family member of hers gets in trouble in a pretty trite way and she helps him deal with it, with it ending in a way that shows what she did before she was in her quarters in the next novel. David is quintessentially a teen here, obstinate and horny, which is a viewpoint that I couldn’t care less about. Still, it does what it’s supposed to.
