I’m still a newbie when it comes to romance, so I’m still figuring out which tropes I do and don’t like. I think I’ve read fewer than 15 romance novels in my LIFE so I definitely still need to branch out and try new things! And Love Again provided me with a new trope I’d not yet encountered - fake dating. And as it turns out... I don’t love it. Not communicating properly is a bit of a pet peeve, and fake dating fosters a LOT of miscommunication it would seem.
BUT, those folk who DO love the fake dating trope should consider giving this one a go! It’s set in the UK with a great range of characters and some great chemistry! It’s also the first book I’ve read published with the B in Black capitalised! Yay!
I do also think a stronger proofread would have been helpful. Twice characters’ names were misspelled and occasionally place names, as well as rogue apostrophes. Once a proofreader, always a proofreader, sorry 🙈
