This is a charming family drama with several interwoven story-lines and a nice little mystery at it's center. The story moved swiftly, and as a reader I felt connected to and invested in all of the characters. This felt like a Netflix/Hallmark movie and has me wanting to move to my own Scribbly Gum Island! What I most appreciated about this novel was the satisfying ending. Approaching the final act I was convinced there was no way this book could end with all my wishes for each character being met, but somehow it concluded in a believably imperfect way.
