Re-read on May 18, 2021 Still really like it.

This book was just amazing. The world build around this book is insane.

I got my copy of this novel at Comic-Con 2013. I have never read a book before it came out specially a first novel by a new author. But I am glad I graved this copy. Because this book is just amazing. This novel will be coming out on January 28 2013 so keep an eye out for this amazing book.

Be warn this book is not light hearted. It shows the cruelty a society will go in order to have power. Society is not good place.

I loved the main character Darrow in this story. He is driven to do something he never wish to do but he must because he has nothing left. We see his struggles and how he steps up into this cruel world. He is smart and we agree with his choices through out the novel. He is human above everything that goes on.

Also love that this novel doesn't have instant love. Which is amazing to find in novels today. The love story behind this novel is so unique and well done it breaks your heart. You believe the characters honesty.

It pains me that I must wait so long for it's sequel but at the same time it's sweet. Because soon I will be able to see others reactions of this novel and hopefully share the love of it.

This is going to be a very interesting Trilogy. If you like The Hunger Game you will LOVE this novel. I think even more.
