Sweet, small town romance

I fell in love with Porter, such a sweet man who’s exhausted and run down due to having to raise his younger brother and be responsible for the family butcher shop he now owns.

Along comes Sean, a city police officer on leave after being injured at work. He takes an almost instant interest in Porter and they agree to a fling.
Both characters are very likeable and the chemistry between them is almost electric. Lots of sparks but there’s baggage on both sides that they need to address before getting their HEA.

The solid writing gives an interesting plot line and it’s very well paced, it didn’t drag and kept me turning the pages. This made it very easy to connect with the story and the characters.

There is some minor angst, major heat, a grieving 11 year old boy and an intriguing cousin.

This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand-alone.
I highly recommend this book.
