Overview: I was recommended this autuor by several people so I started at the beginning...and now I have added all his other books to my TBR list! This isn't your usual mundane cop/murderer plot. Oh no. This is gory, brutal and twisted. Did I see the twist coming? Nope! Did my mouth drop open when I read it? Hell yes! Have I already ordered his next book....duh!

Good Points: Robert Hunter is the most likeable but damaged character. He takes no shit and gets the job done. Get on his bad side and he'll bury you but if you're his friend then he'll protect you with his life. Loved the gory descriptions which made me cringe a few times. The twist was...wow. A great plot with plenty of back story too.

Not so Good Points: The only minor issue I had was that the first 2 chapters are basically snippets of the end chapters so I knew what to expect. I get why books do that but I find it ruins the tension a little.

Overall a fantastic book that I'd recommend to any thriller fan.
