My introduction to Shirley Jackson's writing, and it did not disappoint! Stayed up late last night because I just couldn't put it down. I needed to know what happened next! Haunting, disturbing, Jackson's prose just keeps you thinking. There's a lot you'd be able to catch in a re-read too--plus the characters are equally compelling. Fantastic all around!
