Heated Rivalry ended in a cliffhanger and a promise that Ilya and Shane’s relationship would continue in secret.
We catch up with them and find things are less than perfect. Ilya has given up a lot to live in secret and communicating those needs is the central theme of this follow-up read.
I’ll admit it was frustrating at times. There was a lot of avoidance and sex and “love yous” while hiding how everything is falling apart. This is Ilya’s book and it was great to get more of himself on the page.
That being said the things we loved from Heated Rivalry come through full force. Their banter is great. Ilya is cocky and hilarious as ever.
The followup readers wanted and it delivered in my book
