cgj13 's review for:
Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine
by Gail Honeyman
I would have given up on this, except several people I know gave it high reviews.
I feel like it came around in the end, and ended on a hopeful note, but for most of the read, I found it depressing. Not in a manner that a depressing topic or subject makes you feel strongly and think greatly about life, but in a very sad, hopeless kind of feeling.
I truly do believe that what is going on in my personal life can greatly impact how a view a piece of work, and maybe that is what was going on here. I wouldn't discount that
