Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach
informative
medium-paced
2.25
The information in the book is interesting, the author's writing is not.
I rolled my eyes so frequently at the author's "clever" comments that I nearly went blind. With such a broad subject, the author still manages to get FAR off topic. She also talks down to and at the folks she interviews in the book - including reducing an engineer's accomplishments to her looks and traveling to China to ask a funeral home owner if they ate human body parts (rightly so the funeral home manager was deeply offended by the questioning).
I did not like this book, but I did learn some interesting tid bits.
