Considering the storyline, the story could have been an emotional ride but somehow ended up being something pretty ordinary.
The change in the hero's attitude from not wanting to understand the person he claims to love to not just understanding but supporting her was a little too sudden. Especially since he was hell-bent on blaming her until the previous paragraph.
