I pride myself on being a finisher when it comes to books. I always give it a fighting chance but this book... I couldn't even get through the introduction due to her shameful tearing down of "the stupid girls".
I'm not a fan of how society has bred women to think that skinny, tan, fake is the end-all be-all BUT there is no reason to tear other women down like Jordan does in the introduction. Men, society in general does enough tearing down, stripping, and eating alive; we should be lifting each other up, building each other up, protecting each other and teaching the next generation of girls to do the same.
I may not want to wear skimpy dresses, go to clubs, and drink until I black out but that doesn't give me the right to call those girls stupid over and over and over again.
If the tone changes later in the book let me know, but until then this book is solidly in my "never pick up again" pile.
