My Name Is Lucy Barton
by Elizabeth Strout
Wow. This is my first (but certainly not my last) book I have experienced written by Elizabeth Strout. I listened to the audiobook version, which was sparse and haunting and kept me thinking about Lucy and her mother and their fraught relationship. This is A book where I want to know so much more, but it won't change where the characters are physically or emotionally. The snippets of the past that are talked about are enough. This book resonates with me. I cannot wait to read more of Strout's work.
