I went into this book expecting it to be a 5⭐ read which may be why I was a bit disappointed. I felt like it could have either been like 100-200 pages shorter or they could have shifted the story to focus more on the blood rite. 
Either way, I was happy with this installment but felt it fell a bit flat compared to the previous books. I also hope this isn't the last one the series as there are still SO many unanswered questions and plotlines.
