Honestly this is a hard one to review. I have never read a slower book in my life. I absolutely loathed Johnny and even if that’s the point, it didn’t make it any more enjoyable. I actually did enjoy some of the Navidson focused parts, but half the time Johnny rambles on and on about his totally real sexual conquests and you lose the plot of what’s going on in the first place. This book had some very distinct stylistic choices that, while I can see why some people might enjoy, I found to be a waste of paper. While reading this, I just kept feeling like everything I wanted more of I did not get, and everything I wished was not in the book at all was dragged out exponentially. Also if I have to read another description of a woman that’s written by a man ~like that~ I’m going to lose my fucking mind worse than all of the characters in this book combined .
