I liked this a lot more than I thought I would, based on the cover. Leander and Polly are both enjoyable characters. I did have one moment that sort of threw me off, but I enjoyed the story more with that plot beat thrown in, so although I don't like how it came about, I've made my peace with it. If you enjoy stories about the American Civil War, or cross-dressing female soldiers, you'll like this one.
