This was a fun, cosy book, with a cute story involving magic spells, dragons, friendship, journeying inside books, and an evil businessman. It's definitely on the younger end of middle grade. It's very fast paced and a quick read. 

I do love an illustrated children's book, and Davide Ortu did a really good job! The cover is also so vibrant, it's honestly the main reason I bought the book in the first place!
