A book about early gaming culture disguised as a novel. This plays well into the 80s nostalgia of role play games and pen and paper coming to life. But it's different than the highly praised male power Fantasy Ready Player One. It talks a lot about game design and features but also about growing up with the first wave of pc games. I'm sure for people in the their late 30's and early 40's this is a memory triggering read. For me it was a nice story that dragged on too long. I would have enjoyed it more if it was half the pages and focused more on the story.
