The horrific backgrounds of the characters as children (including a kitty)and the hinted at molestation of one, is the reason I dropped this rating so low. 
The flow/pace, the characters as adults, the found family-ness, and the hope restored is beautiful, but I wish we would have had that without having SO much detail from the ghosts and adults from the past about why these characters were closed off.
